All Grown Up?

I’ve been having such a hard time starting this post, so I’ve put it off for 2 days.  I’ve now come to the decision that I don’t HAVE to have final decisions made on how I feel…….part of blogging is the act of writing to help formulate ideas.  So, that being said, here it is.
FRONTLINE: [...]

My Value Plummets

My true professional value has become clear to me in the last 24 hours.  I teach business education in an actual school in the mornings and then the rest of my professional work is conducted online - starting at about 3:00 pm yesterday, the online part came to a screeching halt.
I had JUST received [...]

(edited to include: Due to immediate feedback via comments, I retract my high-horse comment of “which I refuse to do on principle” in relation to blogging anonymously and took down my pictures and last name on my About page.  Alas, my poor blog challenge progress will be compromised, as will my principles - much more detailed post to [...]

Mommy Time

(Note:  Yes, this is slightly off-topic, but I think it gives insight on me as the author of this blog.  If you’re looking for posts about technology in education, you can start with yesterday’s post! I’m learning a ton today and will share tomorrow…….)

Note:  This post is referring to teachers in my physical network, not my vast edtech network on Twitter, Classroom 2.0, and recently, Eduwiki.us.  These sources have provided me with such wonderful resources and contacts that have completely changed my view on technology and education itself.
It seems that sharing amongst educators should be automatic and intuitive, [...]

Support is Everything

I realized after discussing with teachers throughout my network that I’m very fortunate.  Not just because of my wonderful family, health, and all that, but because I work in a district, and more specifically school, that supports my technology and 2.0 efforts wholeheartedly.  Some examples (yes, I do love lists):

I teach in 11 different schools [...]

Brand Spankin’ New

Why did I decide to add to the insane number of edublogs already out in the blogosphere, you may ask………….?  Well, my twitter and Classroom 2.0 friends can tell you that I have a lot to say (more than 140 words at a time!) on the topic of web 2.0 tools, education, collaboration, being a new [...]
