I’m currently a part-time teacher (in La Crosse, Wisconsin) coming to the profession after being an accountant, then a stay-at-home mother. I have great passion for what I do and am also working at Professional Learning Board as an e-learning consultant. Educating parents about social networking and discussing digital citizenship is another area of interest of mine - check out the resource wiki I created to help parents learn more about these topics.
All writings are my own opinion and in no way represent the beliefs of my employers.

I love your blog and your enthusiasm for teaching with web 2.0! I definitely share your enthusiasm, but I may be the only one at my school (besides the tech teacher and our principal) who understands the need to dive head-first into a world out students already occupy.
I have so much to learn, but I’m loving every minute of it!!

I am new to using blogging as part of the education process for my students. I found your tips and example very helpful in getting started. Thanks.
Kate, some of our teaching responsibilities share commonalities. I teach 6 sections of middle school technology 4 times a year. Let’s share resources! Please use anything you find helpful at www.d11.org/mann/computerliteracy. I’m going to peruse your keyboarding links if you don’t mind. It’s all about the PLN…
I’m LSSHANKS on Twitter. See you around!
